The discuss how growing up molded their view of alcohol and how navigating midlife has changed that perspective. They also offer tips like substituting tea in the evening to change the habit of needing to have a drink in hand. Sandra also shares her recipe for the non-alcoholic shrub drink that she makes for the holidays:

- 1 cup sugar
- ¾ cup red wine vinegar

Have you ever gone to a party with such low expectations you ended up having a good time? A really good time, even.
It got me thinking, what if we approached every situation with lower expectations? No preconceived ideas of how things are supposed to go, just do your thing with an open mind and an open heart. Would you experience more joy?
I found myself lowering my expectations for most things this year as a way to sidestep disappointment, and it could be one of the greatest lessons of 2020.
