The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz The book offers a code of conduct based on ancient Toltec wisdom that advocates freedom from self-limiting beliefs that may cause suffering and limitation in a person’s life.

The four agreements are:

Be impeccable with your word. 

Don’t take anything personally. 

Don’t make assumptions. 

Always do your best.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Told from the perspective of a shepherd boy, the idea that all individuals should live in the singular pursuit of their individual dreams. And each detour or roadblock is part of the plan to prepare you.

She encourages listeners to write a list of 10 traits you have that frame your identity (positive/negative). Ask a friend or spouse to do the same for perspective. Here are Nicole’s ten traits.

  5. Supportive friend

  7. Wellness warrior
  8. Loving mother, spouse, daughter

How do you want to show up? How is that framed? Is it positive or negative? Is that truly helping you to be who you want to be? How can you change that mindset? Flip those self limiting beliefs? 

Nicole questions whether her top two choices are negatively framed. Choose to change the emotional trigger associated with each. Does it fill your cup? What can you let go of or lean into?
