Becoming a mom can be filled with joy and excitement but for many of us, the dream of motherhood is just out of reach. Today, we’re talking with Erin Chrusciel about her decade-long, painful journey towards becoming a mom that was all worth it in the end. Erin and her husband, have suffered loss time and time again. But that resilience, combined with medical miracles and the generosity of family has pulled them through. Erin has agreed to share her amazing story with us today because we need to understand the lasting trauma of infertility and the power of hope and love. We also discuss the trauma following loss and the struggle to identify as her daughter’s real mom. Erin shares how she dealt with insecurities and painful comments from well-intentioned people and how she and her husband decided to try again with another round of donor eggs.
