We always ask our guests about who they would take on a road trip and where would they go. We thought it would be fun to talk about a holiday road trip. We also share our favorite childhood traditions of making homemade Gingerbread houses and cutting down and decorating a live Christmas tree. Nicole share stories about a favorite Christmas fondu tradition and Janine talks about some staples on the dinner table and the importance of drawing out the meal over the course of the entire day.
It wouldn’t be the holidays without thoughts on Elf on the Shelf. And we even discuss the simplicity of the 4 gift tradition. Other topics include: travel during the holidays, something that we go over the top on for Christmas, the best gift we ever gave someone and our favorite Christmas songs.
We hope you enjoy this episode of The Messy Middle Road Trip Podcast and feel inspired to have a conversation with the people you love and decide which traditions should be honored and which ones need to be set aside because they no longer serve you. We get to write the ending to this story so why not choose to do things that bring your family together and create memories filled with joy? Janine and Nicole want to wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and a Happy New Year.
